Colin Specht

Colin Specht’s academic background is in chemistry with an undergraduate degree from the University of California Berkeley and a master’s from the University of Melbourne. He is passionate about scientific research for sustainability applications, and his professional experience spans the fields of materials science and analytical chemistry. His research projects range from heterogeneous metal nanoparticles for gas phase catalysis to inorganic surface coatings for polymeric water filtration membranes. Most recently at Cana Technology, Colin helped lead the analytical team in quantifying the molecular composition of a wide range of commercial beverages in the aim to reduce the packaging and fuel wasted by traditional beverage distribution.
